These old OnePlus phones will get Oxygen OS 10 update based on Android 10: Check if your phone is eligible

 At OnePlus 7T Pro launch event, Pei confirmed that some of the old OnePlus phones will also get upgraded to Android 10 software.

On Thursday, October 10, OnePlus launched the second smartphone under the OnePlus 7T series. It is the OnePlus 7T Pro. The company also launched the OnePlus 7T Pro special McLaren Edition. 

The OnePlus 7T Pro comes with Oxygen OS 10 based on Android 10 out-of-the-box. As OnePlus' co-founder Carl Pei says, OnePlus is the first smartphone manufacturer to bring smartphones with Android 10 out-of-the-box. 

At the OnePlus 7T Pro launch event in London Pei confirmed that some of the old OnePlus phones will also get upgraded to the Oxygen OS 10 based on Android 10 software. 

The company has confirmed that all OnePlus phones starting OnePlus 5 will get upgraded to Oxygen OS 10 based on Android 10. Here are the names of OnePlus phones that will get the update.

OnePlus 5 
OnePlus 5T 
OnePlus 6 
OnePlus 6T 
OnePlus 7 
OnePlus 7 Pro

Notably, OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro run on Oxygen OS 10 based on Android 10 update out-of-the-box. The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition also runs Android 10. 

When will these old OnePlus phones get the Oxygen OS 10 based on Google's latest Android 10 update? Here's the timeline.

--OnePlus has already started rolling out the software update for OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro users. 
--OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T users will get the update this month, October. 
--OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T users will get the Oxygen OS 10 update based on Android 10 software in Q2 2020. 

OnePlus 7T Pro and McLaren Edition of the smartphone will go on sale in India for the first time on October 12. 

The OnePlus 7T Pro comes with a price at Rs 53,999 while the price of special OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition is launched at price of Rs 58,999.
